Reasons to donate a bicycle: RAB is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are fully tax deductible. Donating a bicycle helps us continue our youth training by providing us with material for bicycle repair classes & for redistribution to our school partners. It also supports our shops that create on-the-job training opportunities for students and generate income to cover the cost of educational programs.
What to donate: We accept youth and adult bikes.
How to make a donation: RAB receives walk-in donations at our Dumbo and East Village shops. For operating hours please visit our Shops page.
We encourage deliveries of bicycles, but we understand many people do not own a motor vehicle. RAB regularly rents a van to pick up bicycles when there are fifteen or more adult bikes for donation. Unfortunately, resources do not always allow us to pick up bicycles. To make arrangements for a pick-up or for more information, please email us at email@example.com.
Donate other in-kind goods: Some items at the top of our wish list include:
Tools, bike parts, and supplies
Bike mechanic stands in working order
Productivity hardware, such as iPads and computer work stations (at least 512MB RAM)
Digital photo albums with slideshow mode
Beads and jewelry making supplies
100% cotton t-shirts to be used at rags
Make a financial contribution: All financial contributions directly support our youth programs. RAB is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are fully tax deductible.
