Recycle-a-Bicycle thrives on donations of money, bicycles, bike parts, tools and other related items. All donations are tax-deductible and benefit Recycle-a-Bicycle's programs for NYC youth.

Monetary Contributions

Cash donations from our community are important to keep the program going. Make a monetary donation of $250 or more and receive a free Bicycle Coloring Book based on paintings by the great artist, Taliah Lempert. Donate online at Network for Good or mail a check to Recycle-A-Bicycle, 35 Pearl St, Brooklyn, NY 11201.

Bike Donations

We take walk-in donations at our two retail shops whenever they are open. If you'd like us to pickup your bikes, we ask that you meet the following criteria:

• You must have at least 10 adult bicycles available for pickup,
• Bicycles must be free of major rust or structural damage, and
• Recycle-A-Bicycle reserves the right to refuse donations upon inspection.

We can arrange pickups anywhere in Mahattan, Brooklyn or Western Queens. Unfortunately, resources do not allow us to pick up bicycles from more remote locations or in smaller quantities.

If your bicycle donation meets the criteria above, please contact us by phone (718-858-2972) and our Operations Manager will contact you to schedule a pick-up.

• Plastic storage boxes for our various tools and parts
• Mountain and BMX bikes for our earn-a-bike programs (we'll take any bikes you have to donate, but we especially need mountain bikes and BMXs)
• Cycling related books and publications
• Tools - preferably metric
• New Work Stands (or used workstands in good working order)
• Digital Camera
• PC Workstations with at least 512 Megs of RAM, capable of running Windows 2000 or higher
