VOLUNTEER

"We had a wonderful time learning how to refurbish kids bikes. It's gratifying to know that children will be the recipients of our work."
- Rachel

Volunteer Night - Brooklyn: Join us on Wednesdays from 7:00-9:00pm in our Dumbo shop for our weekly Volunteer Night in Brooklyn! Lend a hand, meet others, and learn basic bike mechanics, free of charge. No previous experience necessary! All are welcome! MAP

Group Volunteer Events: Recycle-A-Bicycle welcomes groups for volunteering events. Regardless of one’s mechanical know-how, working together on a service project can be a fun and rewarding experience for everyone involved. RAB staff will lead a guided workshop to prepare kids bikes for upcoming Kids Bike Swaps or to de-manufacture bicycles that will be recycled.

Group volunteer events can be scheduled for Fridays between 2pm-6pm and take place at our job training center in Long Island City, Queens. We recommend a 4 hour workshop and can work with groups of 10-15 people. Workshops are free of charge but donations are greatly appreciated. Volunteer events must be scheduled 4 weeks in advance.

For more information or to schedule a volunteer event, please send an inquiry to director@recycleabicycle.org
