Cycle Craft Jewelry
Bringing you recycled glamour from Washington Heights!, A group of junior high girls has been meeting in the Recycle-A-Bicycle shop at the Mirabel Sisters' School (IS 90) in Washington Heights. Every Monday they work on design and production of their original line of jewellery made from presta valves and headset spacers.
With the help of RAB's own Pasqualina Azzarello and two high school mentors (also RAB graduates: Isamar Liz and Zurisadai Pena got their recycling start at the old IS 218 bike shop) the girls have put together a business plan for their Cycle Craft business, and they are learning how to translate their designs into products and run a small business.
